District Governor's Goals for the Rotary Year
2011 - 2012

As Rotarians, having goals is an important part of our success as a 100 year old service organization. In order to make Service Above Self a reality, planning is essential, and goal formation is a critical aspect of good plans. As District Governor for the Rotary year 2010- 2011, I have the following Goals and Supporting Activities:

 

Goal 1:  Support and Strengthen Clubs

Promote membership growth through recruitment and retention
 
            Improve membership diversity

Start new, dynamic clubs

Encourage strategic planning at club and district levels

Develop club and district leaders

Encourage clubs to participate in a variety of service activities
 
Goal 2:  Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service

 
            Continue our efforts to eradicate polio

Support the Rotary Foundation through local giving

Create and Promote significant projects both locally and internationally

Promote and encourage club utilization of DSG
 
Goal 3:  Enhance Public Image and Awareness

Encourage clubs to promote their networking opportunities and signature activities

Publicize action-oriented service

Promote core values

Emphasize vocational service
