Governor's Message December 2009 For me December has also always been linked to the celebration of Christmas – for you perhaps another religious observance. How often have you dreamed of waking up on a December morning and seeing a beautiful snowfall? It sets the tone for the season. To me it was a Saturday morning on December 5th when I awoke to snow falling in the mountains of Virginia and 3 to 4 inches of the white stuff outside my window while attending the Rotary Zones 33 and 34 Institute. The coffee tasted extra special that morning. It really was magical and that magic resonated through the sessions I attended that day as I heard about all the wonderful things Rotary is doing around the world. It is time to celebrate! Santa is on his way - he knows who’s been naughty or nice. The New Year is just around the corner. In this beautiful season of hope and wonderment I would like to wish all of you peace, prosperity and happiness for the New Year. Here’s to all of you - my magical family - in Rotary. Cheers!!!! |
