If you dream of studying in another country and at the same time helping build friendly international relations, the Rotary Clubs of NE North Carolina, may provide you with a $27,000 Ambassadorial Scholarship. It is a flat grant for one academic year (2012-2013) of undergraduate, graduate or qualified professional vocation study in another country. While abroad, scholars serve as goodwill ambassadors to the host country and give presentations about their homeland to Rotary Clubs and other groups. Upon returning home, scholars share with Rotary Clubs and others the experiences that led to a greater understanding of their host country. To qualify, candidates must have had two years of college or two years of work in a vocation, demonstrate a proficiency in the language of the host country and not be related to a Rotarian.
