How Does the Membership Process Work?
Please join us as a guest at one of our club meetings or at one of our events to learn more about our club and our membership. Then, complete and submit the enclosed Membership Application to your sponsor or the Membership Chairperson. Your application will be posted in the Club Newsletter for two weeks then it will be voted on in the following monthly board meeting, which is held near the end of every month. With the approval of your application, the Membership Chairperson will contact you directly to welcome you as a Provisional Member and guide you through the Provisional Membership process.
When do I become a Rotarian?
As an approved Provisional Member, you are encouraged to continue to attend all Carmel Rotary Club functions and events and you will be added to the Club’s mailing list. In order to become a “full” member of The Rotary Club of Carmel, there are a few steps that you must complete during your first 3-6 months of Provisional Membership. They are as follows:
Upon completion of the requirements described above you will be inducted into the Club as an active member with all rights and privileges. The purpose of the Provisional Membership process is the fully assimilate you into the Club as an accepted and productive member.

What is “Every Rotarian Every Year” (EREY)?
Rotary’s efforts worldwide meet the diverse needs of families and communities across the globe through six focus areas: Conflict resolution, disease prevention, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, education and literacy, and economic development. Funding to support these efforts comes through annual contributions from our members toward the Rotary International Foundation.
Every Rotarian is requested and encouraged to contribute in some way to the Foundation on an annual basis. Every Rotarian Every Year.
