Grants.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p><b><span style='color:black'>The District Simplified Grant is a grant all clubs in the District should think of applying for to help fund a project either in this country or abroad.&nbsp; Each club is eligible for up to $2000 per club per year.&nbsp; This is your Foundation contributions coming right back into your club for you to use to assist in a club project of your choice.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p><b><span style='color:black'>The DSG is an ideal grant for the small club who wishes to fund a project abroad and cannot raise funds for a Major Grant.&nbsp; Let me share with you a couple of the grants&nbsp; which were funded in the past.&nbsp; Wilsonville bought defibrillators for the local high school.&nbsp; Beaverton used part of their allocation to assist in the starting of a Chess for Success Club and the rest towards the funding of a dictionary project for all the 4th graders in the Beaverton School District.&nbsp; Beaverton Sunrise also assisted in this project.&nbsp; The five Vancouver area clubs also did a Dictionary Project.&nbsp; Sherwood restored the gardens at the historic home of Sherwood's founder.&nbsp; Seaside purchased and installed back up water tanks for a school in Uganda and also purchased mosquito nets.&nbsp; Tualatin provided bunk beds at Candy Grove Camp ground.&nbsp; The list goes on.&nbsp; What is your club going to do this year?<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p><b><span style='color:black'>Now you know all about the District Simplified Grant and the availability of the funding I am challenging you to apply.&nbsp; The great thing about this grant is that the District is charged with issuing the funding and so you can expect a quick response and funding to your requests.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p><b><span style='color:black'>Following are the guidelines for a District Simplified Grant.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p><b><span style='color:black'>District Simplified Grants (DSG) are designed by the TRF for use by Rotary clubs to do small projects in their community or internationally.&nbsp; The procedures for DSG in our district are as follows:<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <ol start=1 type=1>
