Message from 2010-2011 President!

Welcome to the Kerman Rotary Club!
Another year of Rotary started on July 1st and we're confident the next 12 months will bring many exciting and new opportunities to our club. Before we get busy we must first thank Nellie Neri for serving as our Club President for the year 2009/2010. Because of Nellie's leadership and tireless efforts the Kerman Club is stronger than ever!
It is an honor to serve as Club President under Ray Klinginsmith, the 100th Rotary International President. Ray Klinginsmith, along with his leadership team have created the theme for 2010/2011,"Building Communities and Bridging Continents." Ray Klinginsmith is committed in helping clubs from around the world become bigger, better, and bolder this year. At the District level we welcome in Governor Young Koh who will lead us for the next 12 months. Young has established three measurable and achievable goals, that are: 1) weekly attendance great than 80%, 2) net 10% growth in membership, and 3) our club will exceed 20% new or multiple Paul Harris Fellows .
In addition to the goals set by Governor Koh we have the challenge of improving our ever changing community. As our community continues to grow, our club must be ready to meet the societal needs of today, as well as the needs of the future. In doing so, our club will focus its attention to formulating a strategic plan. The plan will have long-term Vision and Mission statements that are consistent with Rotary International and District 5230 Goals. Additionally, our club will create long-term goals that focus on local and international service projects, membership, membership diversity, and financial health. And most importantly, we will focus on fellowship, fellowship, fellowship!
Our club was sponsored for charter by the Rotary Club of North Fresno in 1957. We are proud to state that some charter members still participate in our club today. On this fifty-third year of our charter, I wish to extend my greetings and thanks to the Kerman Rotarians, auxiliary volunteers, and community members whose support and cooperation have made it possible for the club to achieve so many notable successes.
Each year is distinctive, in that the Rotarians celebrate the uniqueness of our members, volunteers, and community. Each year the focus on the values..qualities of truth, fairness, friendship and goodwill benefitting all concerned have remained in every Rotarian, and each year our club members work hard to achieve the Club's goals as set forth by Rotary International and the Kerman Club Board of Directors.
Each month this year, our club will be focusing on certain Rotary topics:
July - Club Assembly
August - Membership & Extension

October - Vocational Service
