Welcome to the Salinas Steinbeck Rotary Club. Our club was established in 1981 and we currently have 70 members. In Salinas, we are often referred to as the "Breakfast Club."

The City of Salinas is located in beautiful Monterey County, California, and the area is often referred to as the "Salad Bowl of the World."  Our club meets every Wednesday morning at 7 o'clock at the National Steinbeck Center, where we are sparked by entertaining programs, camaraderie, and of course breakfast.

Our club is very active in supporting the youth of the community.  We have a dictionary project for third graders, sponsor the Everett Alvarez High School Interact Club and send several students to Camp Royal each summer.  We are very active in Rotary Youth Exchange and have sponsored both inbound and outbound exchange students for over 25 years.

We also have a strong fellowship component among our members.  We enjoy working, playing and laughing together and forming new friendships that will last forever.  The self-satisfaction one can achieve when presented with the opportunities Rotary can offer is endless.  Many Steinbeck Rotarians have found richer and more meaningful lives through membership in our club.

We extend an open invitation to everyone, please come and visit our club and get to know this growing family of professionals and business leaders that make Rotary such a rewarding experience!

Yours in Rotary Service,

Mike Jones - President 2010-2011
