Rotary Florida PETS - Welcome Page

The President-elect Training Seminar, or PETS, is the singular most important training event for Rotary leaders at the club and district level. It is the launch platform for success that provides club presidents-elect a tremendous opportunity to learn, network and otherwise prepare for a stellar start to one's Rotary year as club president.

In fact, attendance by club presidents-elect at PETS is viewed by Rotary International to be so important that participation is considered to be mandatory; a part of the Rotary Club Constitution and bylaws as reaffirmed at the 2007 Council on Legislation.

That isn't to say that participants should feel forced to attend; far from it! Exit surveys from 2010 and prior year Rotary Florida PETS reflect that, while some club presidents-elect had a degree of trepidation prior to arrival, the overall experience and "worth" factor score very high.

Rotary changes its leadership each and every year - at every level. Can you imagine any organization that does this - and manages to not only not lose momentum - but grow?! Rotary does just that - and PETS is a key component in why and how that happens.

If you are an incoming club president-elect please know that you are in for a very memorable experience. Rotary Florida PETS incorporates all eight districts in the State of Florida - and a portion of the Bahamas. You and roughly 400 of your classmates - fellow club presidents-elect - will join with over eighty assistant governors and a large supporting cast of Past District Governors, Rotary Leadership Institute Discussion Leaders and senior Rotary leaders from around the world to make Rotary year 2012-2013 the very best that it can be . . . for you and your Rotary club!
