EarlyAct is sponsored by the Sycamore Rotary Club; it is a service organization similar to Rotary, designed for elementary-level students. The EarlyAct Club was launched last year, and performed a number of school- and community-service projects; it also incorporated the leadership and citizenship elements of North Grove’s existing BOLD (Building Our Leadership Daily) program.
The club is intended to give students the opportunity to provide community service, and work in leadership roles as they plan their projects. All students enrolled at North Grove are automatically considered members of the EarlyAct Club; the Board plans and executes all projects, under supervision from teachers and the Rotary Club.
EarlyAct has conducted a food and clothing drive for local charities; produced a series of videos to teach students about proper behavior; launched its "April Flowers” project, providing plants & flowers for senior citizens at Easter time; led a collection drive for animals at the Tails Humane Society; and collected sporting goods for the international aid agency Sports Gift.
