Vocational Service Activities
Classic City Rotarians provide significant service through their vocations, as well. In addition to nominating Rotarians for recognitions such as the District's "W. Lee Arrendale Award for Vocational Excellence," professional service activities by our club members include some of the following:
  • Rotarian Milton Masciadri is a UNESCO Artist for Peace and travels and performs double bass internationally. He also is a board member of the Athens Youth Symphony. Milton was recognized as the district 6910 W. Lee Arrendale award winner for his outstanding accomplishments worldwide.
  • Club members serve as guest speakers in local schools, providing vocational mentoring and encouragement for example via Classic City High School.
  • Rotarian Shannon Wilder directs the University of Georgia Office of Service-Learning, helping faculty members campus-wide connect their academic content instruction with projects and activities that meet direct community needs.
  • Rotarians CJ Johnson and James Kemper served recent tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.
