Club History

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.  Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 34,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

The Rotary Club of Springfield North was chartered on March 29, 2002 with 36 members.  As our club continues to grow, we take great pride in maintaining a close group that allows everyone to know each other.  We strive to have all of our members to be involved in various committees and activities.

The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.  The Rotary Club of Springfield North is committed to assisting organizations that impact the community betterment of Springfield.  We predominantly support activities and projects that improve the lives of children in Springfield, but we also provide international service to projects around the world.  Although we are a small club, we have taken the lead on some large community projects such as the Miracle Field and Ozarks Food Harvest Mobile Pantry.

Rotary membership provides the opportunity to become connected to your community; work with others in addressing community needs; interact with other professionals in your community; assist with RI's international humanitarian service efforts; establish contacts with an international network of professionals; develop leadership skills; and involve family in promoting service efforts.

Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women.  If you are interested in joining a Rotary club where everyone knows your name, please visit our club.  We promise you will have fun.
