Crabtree Rotary Club Objectives for 2007-2008
 
 

1) Build Membership...Recruit, Retain, Repeat. We have five prospective members at this time.

2) Improve Attendance...Follow-up on absences and encourage make-ups,

3) Build on "Rotary Family"...Get to know each other better through ...Classification Talks... and mini bios... Encourage more family involvement by having at least one family social and offering to have family members come to meetings as president's guest.

4) Improve Club communication...create Club Directory and Club web-site.

5) Continue to have excellent weekly programs.
6) Establish the Crabtree Marriott as our new home.

7) Promote 100% sustaining membership in Rotary Foundation and continue development of new Paul Harris Fellows.

8) Plan and execute the first "Holiday Express" Santa Train in conjunction with the City of Raleigh. This will be our primary fund raiser.

9) Continue (and expand) our existing service projects include: highway clean-up, and stream clean-up; Christmas bell-ringing with the Salvation Army: Meals on Wheels; sponsorship of a Guatemalan orphan; participation in the Million Meals project (hoping to do it again this year); sponsorship of a GSE participant.

10) Implement new projects including: planning for a youth exchange next year; begin active sponsorship in the Clarence Lightener youth program; and create a playground development and renovation program with the Raleigh and/or Wake County Parks and Recreation Departments.

11) Place service above ourselves...and have fun.
