One of the most popular and rewarding programs of the Rotary Foundation is Group Study Exchange (GSE). The Rotary Club of O'Fallon has been very active with sponsoring teams from all over the world. The GSE program pairs Rotary Districts to send and receive study teams. GSE provides an opportunity for the visiting team members to meet, talk, and live with Rotarians and their families in a warm spirit of friendship and hospitality. In addition to learning about another country through visits to farms, schools, industrial plants, professional offices, and government establishments, GSE members serve as goodwill ambassadors. Many of the personal contacts blossom into lasting friendships. Normally, there are five members on each team. The team leader is a Rotarian and the other members are professionals from their country. They normally are in the hosting district for about 30 days and are hosted by clubs within the district.
