Welcome to District 7510!

District Governor Charles Minton

Welcome to District 7510 in Central New Jersey, The Capital District.

It has been my pleasure to serve as district governor for the past year.

So many great memories this year, all thanks to the kindness and willingness of so many clubs and Individuals to make my official visits special. I seem to have become the “Cupcake Governor," as I received that gift from three clubs. I truly enjoyed receiving all the gifts, each of which is precious to me, gifts that I will have and display proudly.

Kindness was not only showered on me. My Kathy, our First Lady of the District, received several standing ovations at the District Conference. Several club presidents not only invited Kathy to their events but they told me not to come unless I brought Kathy. I can tell you that she really enjoyed being your First Lady! A great big thank you to her for all she did for everyone but especially for me. I could have not done this job without her.

As the days wind down, I feel confident that we had a good Rotary year. We truly embraced and lived Rotary Serving Humanity, and it was most especially “Sweet” to be 20”16”-17.

District Governor-Elect Bob Zeglarski

Here in District 7510, I will have the honor of being installed as your Governor for 2017-2018 at the Changing of the Guard on June 29. My year as Governor will by guided by these priorities.

  •  To Support and strengthen our clubs
  •  To focus and increase our humanitarian service
  •  And to enhance Rotary’s public image and awareness

My plans include: enhancing our public image by making Rotary the talk of the town in communities across our district by means of a small number of publicity generating strategic initiatives; to dramatically increase membership through district membership marketing initiatives; and increase our humanitarian impact by mobilizing large numbers of district residents to join our clubs in humanitarian endeavors.

And that is why all of us here must see the year ahead not just as our year of leadership, but as Rotary’s year. Not the year that Rotary has given us to shine, but the year that we will give to Rotary, so that its light will shine ever brighter.

Yours in Rotary Service

Bob
